“I draw images of the human animal in all of our grace and monstrosity.”

Jay Bailey’s work focuses on gesture, motion, and loose form. Each figure is composed of a layering of light, fluid contour lines with complimenting values and textures. He depicts flesh through layers of seemingly uncoordinated stains and lines.

He has shown his work in group and solo exhibitions in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

He currently lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and daughter.
