Teaching

I have taught painting and drawing for over 15 years. I previously taught in the Department of Art at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the Brookhaven Art Department at Dallas College. I have conducted workshops or classes at Crow Museum of Asian Art, the Dallas Museum of Art, The O’Keefe Studio, and Creative Arts Center of Dallas.

I currently teach classes and workshops at Oil & Cotton in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas and I am a Drawing/Painting adjunct faculty member at the College of Visual Art & Design at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.

Private Study

I offer private drawing and painting instruction to artists of all levels.

I am interested in the philosophical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of art instruction. While the study of technique, theory, and concept is essential for all artists, my focus is aiding the artists with whom I work in understanding their motivations and connecting to their practice. A developing artist practice offers a more nuanced and dimensional lens through which to view the world. I offer one-on-one or group sessions (in person or remotely via Zoom) for all levels of artists at all stages of their development. Fill out the form below and I will contact you.
